So once again I learned I should never ever assume anything. I just got my package on shiny things and found out something that excites me because I'm a dork...so I always assumed because of the number of pages that the Le Cinq for Ai Suru did not have a script...yeah about that...there is a script! That excites me and and now I get to see how bad I was at trying to transcribe something...I'm thinking I did a pretty bad job, but that's at first glance and I don't know probably a good 80-90% of the kanji used in the script.

Okay now I need to go look at my new old Graph and remember why I miss it so very much.

Completely off topic but I think you all need some Jack spam. We've had blizzard warnings here since last night, so here's the results so far (and it is still snowing).

Yeeeaaaah....Jack seems to think he's an ostrich. He does this all the time...I was trying to take a pic the mound of snow behind him that is like past me knee (and I'm 5'10"). I only watch until the whip dance...haahaa oh lord I died when I first saw that...I wonder if anyone got hit during rehearsals...And It also kills me that there was a plethora of Fersen wigs in this one song. Some of those wigs were just so bad haahaa.
So yeah that RoV tour sounds kinda neat. I know a lot of people think they do far too much BeruBara buuuut on the upside this time they are taking another angle with it. I think that's cool...I really want to see them especially the Alain one...though honestly I would rather have Mizu Alain because I think she is the best Alain, but it is all good. At any rate this should all be rather interesting.

    <lj:music>Charmed on tv</lj:music>

I felt the need to translate something so I went with my favorite song from Aida. It's not perfect...but nothing is.

Flowing Like the Nile

Radames: This girl is from Ethiopia
I became her companion.

Amnelis: So?

Radames: If I’m not here,
her protector will be gone.

Amnelis: It’s wrong, it’s wrong
That look!
That gentle look,
acts as a veil!
Understand only this
Wait and see
That person’s true heart!

Radames: It’s wrong, it’s wrong
She’s not a prisoner.
This proud
Ethiopian princess!
Understand only this
My heart burns for her.
That’s my true heart!

Radames: From the first time I saw her
She appealed to me...
More with each day
I thought of her.
Before I knew it I promised
The princess her dear place
Far off Ethiopia
With this hand I will not fail to free her!

Amnelis: It’s wrong!
Radames: It’s wrong!
Aida: Aaaaaaa it’s wrong!
Amnelis: It’s wrong!
Radames: It’s wrong!

Aida: When he gave me a memento
I trembled with true delight.
But he is the one who will fight my country!
And yet I’ve become attached to him!

Aida: Fear and affection approach at once
I’m lost in the current!

Radames and Amnelis: I’m lost in the current!

The 3: I’m lost in the current!
Joy and pain
Can’t always be replaced
Feelings run high
Everything becomes lost in the current.

All: That is flowing like the Nile!

3: Flowing...
I begin to drift away...

Radames: That is...
All: Flowing like the Nile

Nairu no Nagare no youni

Radamesu: Kono mono wa echiopia kara
Watashi ga tsurete kimashita

Amunerisu: Dakara?

Radamesu: Watashi ga inaku nareba
Mamoru hito ga inaku narimasu

Amunerisu: Chigau chigau
Ano manazashi wa!
Ano tsutsumu youni
Yashige na manazashi!
Kore dake wa wakatteiru
Ima ka ima mita mono koso
Ano hito no hontou no…kokoro!

Radamesu: Chigau chigau
Shuujin dewa nai!
Kono hokori takai
“Echiopia no” Oojou wa!
Kore dake wa wakatteiru
Ima mune wo kogasu mono koso Watashi no hontou no…kokoro!

Radamesu: hajimete mita hi kara
Kokoro hikareta…
Hi o masu goto ni
Omoi ga tsunotta
Oojou no furusato
Haruka na Echiopia o
Kanarazu kono te kaihou shite miseru to!

Amunerisu: Chigau!
Radamesu: Chigau!
Ai-da: Aaaaaaa chigau!
Amunerisu: Chigau!
Radamesu: Chigau!

Ai-da: Katami o sashidasare
Hontou wa yorokobi ni furueta!
Keredo ano hito wa sokoku to tatakau hito!
Sore demo hikarerete yuku hito!
Osore to itoshisa ga hito toki ni semari
kono watashi o ooo...
Oshi nagasu!

Futari: Kono mi o oshi nagasu!
Yorokobi to
Kurushimi ga
Taemanaku ire kawari
Kanjou no takamari ga
Arayurumono o oshi nagashite yuku

Zenin: Sore wa nairu no nagare no youni!

San nin: Nagareru...
Nagasarete yuku...

Radamesu: Sore wa...

Zenin: Nairu no nagare no youni!

In happy shiny neeeeews my package from crescent shop will be shipped soooon ^^

I finally finished it...Chie's personal data from her personal book is now complete. Now you can know more about Chie then you ever wanted to know (well not really...)!! I gotta say I love how random she can be...she likes to give answer and then talk about something in great detail that really isn't important. Also I wonder how many Siennes have been hit by cars or motorcycles...so far Kiriyan and Chie have been hit...

Anyway usual things apply don't go posting this somewhere (unless of course you ask and I okay it), and I'm sure there's mistakes that have been made here and there.

***Profile Section***

Height: 172cm
Eyesight: 2.0
Hearing: I think normal
Ring size: about 11~13
Shoe size: 26cm
Previous existence: I probably came from the south. I get such a happy feeling looking at the southern scenery.
Catch phrase: “[Live] Freely without any inhibitions.” *1

***When you were a child section***

Hairstyle you often had: Long that I wore down

You often played: Chinese jump rope. I was super awesome at it!! (laughs) When “sora*2” was yelled I jumped as high as my head. To jump rope I would deliberately wear clothes that wouldn’t get caught, I was that serious.

Experiences with being sick, or surgery: When I was a kid, I was in a traffic accident. A car that ignored the traffic light hit me. Something went bam, hit me and then I was covered in blood. I was briefly in the hospital for stitches, but the driver of the car wasn’t going fast so it wasn’t a serious injury.

A TV show you liked: Downtown’s Gottsu Ee Kanji *3

An idol you liked: 光Genji (Hikari Genji). I liked Kaa-kun (Morohoshi Kazumi) the most. *4

First love: First year of elementary school. He was fair skinned with brown hair, he looked like a foreigner. He was also active, so we often played together.

Clubs you were in: In elementary school I was in the unicycle club. At that time I was good and go anywhere by unicycle, it was to the point that I thought I would go shopping like that (laughs).

Sports you were good at: I was good at general sports. I was good at games with balls and on land. I liked to do short distance running, but I didn’t really like long distance running…That’s because it’s tiring isn’t it (laughs)? I gave it my all at sports festivals.

***3 of Anything***

Animals you like: Number 1 is dogs! After that other animals I like are pandas and cheetahs. Cheetahs are cool, I like them.

Favorite Place: Hawaii. My own bed. Hmm where else…Aa the bath in my house. Up until now I had to bend my legs to or else I wouldn’t fit in, but I moved and my bathtub is spacious. It’s nice to be able to stretch your legs. Then, the washing area is also spacious, when you wash even when you stretch you don’t hit anything, it’s nice.

Something fun you did: During my childhood, every Christmas with my family we had a 100 yen per person present exchange. At that time we bought presents without using more than 100 yen, I used a lot of assorted erasers as presents (laughs). Such a small thing was somehow fun. Second is when I was a yokasei. Though there certainly were awful and painful times. The yokasei were always together in the same room, it’s really a good memory. The last one is from my student days. I was in a special course, we waited but the class wasn’t rearranged. Each person waited for the special class to gather, it was one class so all the different types of people made it interesting. The after school practices were really strict, but during class and breaks it was really fun. Even now my friends and I talk about that time, we really rose to be our best. *5

Something you want to do now: I want to speak English fluently. Though, right now I want to do something that shouldn’t take a lot of effort (laughs). After that I want to spend about a month in the south. Everyday I’d want to do nothing; I’d want to idly dominate the sunny side of the beachside (laughs). And lately it seems that I can’t see the stars so I want the feeling of nature. Even if you occasionally look up at the night sky the surrounding area is too bright to see the stars. So I want to go to a place that is really pitch black, lie on my back and look at the stars.

Something you’re scared of: Bugs, ghosts. After that, the truth is I also hate injections.

Food you hate: Green peas, a number of beans like black beans. If there’s a sweet bean seasoning I won’t be able to eat at all. Then there’s big shellfish like ark shell (red clams) or oysters are no good. Though, scallops are okay. I also hate hijiki *6.

***If I were a… Section***

Letter of the alphabet: O. People often mistake me for having an O blood type. I’m told it’s because I have a magnanimous image, but some also think it’s my appearance (laughs).

Number: Hmmm what number would I be… 5, it has a “Go!Go!” feeling (laughs) *7

Country: For some reason everyone tells me Africa (laughs). It’s not a country, but Hawaii.

Color: I guess brown

Season: I think summer

Animal: I’m often told a golden retriever puppy.

***Records Section***

Highest and lowest bowling score: I’m not sure I know. For my highest there was once a time I got 140. My lowest is really absurd…I had 70.

Longest you’ve ever spent in the bath: I’m not the kind of person who stays in long, if it’s my own house around 30 minutes. If I’m reading a book or watch TV then I can hold out for an hour and a half. It’s different if I go to a hot spring resort; I’m curious and crave to go into all the different types of hot water.

Record longest phone conversation: It was about 5 hours. When I hung up, it was already morning. When cell phones just became popular, my bill was still high (laughs). I’m the kind of person that talks a lot.

Record longest sleep: About 18 hours. I don’t remember what time in the morning, or time at night I woke up at (laughs). But I’m a person who sleeps a lot, 12 hours isn’t at all long enough.

Amount of time you spend watching TV everyday: I turn it on as soon as I get home, and turn it off before I go to sleep. The next morning, from when I wake until I leave the house it’s on…If I’m home it’s always on with the exception of when I sleep (laughs). Though during a run of a show my time to watch really decreases, I suppose it becomes pretty short.

***Preferences Section***

Things that you put in your coffee or tea: Nothing

Between Japanese, Western and Chinese food, which do you like better: Between those, it’s really hard to say. I like home cooking more than elaborate cooking. I like things like miso soup and hamburger…So if it’s home cooking it doesn’t matter if it’s Japanese, Western, or Chinese (laughs).

Thing that you’ve bought recently that you like the most: A small black table. Before, in the living room in front of the sofa was a low table that I set the remote control and tissues on. But I always thought it was nicer to have nothing on it, so I bought this table. It was expensive, but it’s small in size and I set the remote and other things next to it. Now there’s nothing on my low table, it became really easy to use.

Clothes colors that you often wear: Black

Interior obsessions: Basic black and white

Thing that you have to bring with you when you travel: A scarf. It doesn’t have to be wool knit, ordinary cotton is also fine. In summer or in winter I’m certain to bring them. It’s not that I’m weak against the seasons, but in summer there’ a lot of places that are cold. I’m sensitive to heat, but also to cold too.

Karaoke specialty: “Story” by AI

Cell phone ringtone: I don’t really change it much. Since “Hallelujah Go! I can’t decide (laughs).

Role: Dennis Garcia form “Hallelujah”

1-	The quote does not actually say live but I feel that it’s being implied. If it’s not being implied, then it really should be.
2-	Okay so this question broke me and I knew it would I skipped it to begin with and waited until it was the last before I worked on it. The question starts off okay but the 2nd and 3rd answer in it I don’t really get soooo this is probably the least accurately translated question. Just fair warning.
3-	Sora…yeah so I am not familiar with Chinese jump rope as I’ve never played it before. I’m assuming that this is sora as in sky. Like the object is to jump to the sky (?) no matter really we all get the idea.
4-	This is a comedy show…this is how the title of the show is translated which is funny since it’s not translated at all, but whatever who am I to argue. Anyway this is an example of the show, it’s crazy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1PDLy9Nyg0&mode=related&search=
5-	Hikari Genji was/is a Johnny’s Jr. boyband…they still appear sometimes. Like they were on the Johnny’s New Year special last year (and I think the year before).
6-	Hijiki is a type of edible seaweed
7-	This is funny because 5 is go in Japanese…Oh Chie, you’re so corny…we really would get a long far too well making bad jokes.

I'm too lazy to change the numbers but here's an additional note just in case...yokasei is a first year student at the Takarazuka Music School.

I'm not actually done translating this but I need to share the funny. Oh Tani you are silly.

You become lost Harry Potter’s world…

-	I’d enjoy that world until my heart’s content (laughs). In the Harry Potter series up until now I’ve read all the books and saw the movie. I love the magic using genre (laughs). I want to try using magic (laughs). I absolutely want to meet the main character Harry. If I met him, I’d stick behind him and explore all kinds of places, I’d use magic to make myself disappear during scenes when Harry confronts his enemies and secretly protect him (laughs). However, if it was in a dream or something, and I knew it was happening in reality…At that moment I’d most likely be too scared.

At a restaurant they bring you the wrong order, but it looks really delicious…

-	This happens to me a lot. Though I never have the courage to tell the server “This isn’t what I ordered.” (laughs). I usually don’t say anything and eat it. But even when its wrong you end up saying “It looks delicious.” Right? You just end up eating it (laughs). Now and then there are times when I speak with restraint “This is wrong but…” In the end I just say “It’s ok. It’s fine. I’ll eat it.” (laughs). Though the situation is different if there’s something that I really want to eat (laughs).

still another 3 questions to post about what she'd do if foreigners asked for directions, if she could take a time trip (she'd go to ancient Rome) and one about if she was hunger and it was midnight would she eat or sleep or something like that. nothing tops the Harry Potter question.

Oh also as I look at Chie's personal book it seems that (assuming I understood correctly) she's gone sky diving before O_O

I've been attempting to be able to translate interviews. I have a such a hard time with interviews for some reason...I find it easier to translate a script then an interview (weird I know but so true). It's always so hard to understand people. Anyway now that I have free time I went and start to attempt a translation of a "NOW ON STAGE" been meaning to do it for a while but like I said so much harder then it should be. Anyway I might keep going with the translation, not sure at the moment. Anyway this is from the Ai Suru "ON STAGE NOW" from the Grand Theater.

Kozuki: This performance was the first time that Yuzuki-san was speaking in many different places. (everyone laughs)
Yuzuki: That’s really how it was. This performance was the first time that I spoke my lines like that. Every day I mumbled my lines, Wataru-san heard me a lot.
Kozuki: Practicing lines before the curtain rises.
Aran: That’s useless!
Kozuki: You have to practice.
Aran: You can’t forget your lines.
Kozuki: From somewhere you hear a certain voice “That was a pretty good show.”
Yuzuki: But I forgot my lines once, so it’s scary.
Aran: When?
Yuzuki: At Bow Hall, I left out about one page. Since then I dread forgetting lines…it’s too scary.
Kozuki: Ahahaha, and so you inadvertently practice...It’s really a grown-up male role.
Yuzuki: Haa~
Kozuki: Your character is my senior.
Yuzuki: That’s right. The truth is I never played a villain. An adult villain. But 正塚-sensei said “Please don’t have a desire to play villains.” to me.
Kozuki: I don’t think he’s bad. I think the bad one is there (Shirahane).
Shirahane: Me!? (laughs)
Kozuki: But you’re the one who borrowed the money.
Shirahane: I guess I’m a bully , borrowing money. (laughs)

please note that this is really not a very good translation...gives you an idea of what was said but I'm pretty uncertain on this. I really translated it because Chie's fear of forgetting lines and mumbling them all the time makes me laugh just a little.
I kinda got addicted to the idea of translating this yesterday and so I spent about an hour doing so last night. Now I've seen shows with Touma before but I never noticed her...I'm not good at noticing people when I don't know who they are. I need to go back and watch her in some stuff. I love her personality, this was really fun to translate. Also is it just me or does she really look a lot like Wataru. I mean you can tell they are not the same person but there is a striking resemblance. I'll post pictures later I'm sure.
As usual I make now claims about not being 100% accurate. In fact I'm pretty sure I fudged something or another.

Yukigumi: Ozuki Touma
From the yearning for a star…
“My stage name doesn’t have a special meaning, and until now I’ve said nothing…” she said as she revealed it.
[緒月] is from a longing to be like hoshigumi’s former top star Kozuki Wataru. The characters sound alike. [遠麻] “I remember when I was a yokasai (Takarazuka music school) people said I resembled ‘Thomas the Train.’ [ス] was omitted so I could make the character that I liked. I wondered if it was okay.”
She stands at 174cm and is a strong type otokoyaku. Now she’s currently on stage in “Elisabeth ~The Rondo of Love and Death~” playing the part of the Emperor’s close advisor Marquis Schwarzenberg (until 6/8). The very dignified look of a military uniform suits her. The mustache makes it a mature role.
“I have played a lot of roles in military uniforms. When I failed the Takarazuka Music School exam I watched a video of Hoshigumi’s “Elisabeth”, while I watched I thought ‘I won’t be able to stand on this stage.’ Now, I’m really happy to be in this production.”
While she was in middle school she borrowed a video from a friend and became a fan, and as a second year student in high school she took the Music School exam. The next year, after her second try she passed the exam.
Her first performance was “The Legend of Genji: Livid in a Dream.” Her first major role was in 2004 in the shinjinkouen for “Susano” as Aosetona. “I was really nervous, I felt it was strained.” The shinkos that followed were in 2005 in “Milan Wrapped in Fog” as Major Karlheinz, 2006 in “The Rose of Versailles” as Aln a member of the royal guard, and that same year in “Lucifer’s Tears” as the choreographer Jean-Paul Doret. She graduated mainly with the experience of second tier roles.
“Everyone says that Alan really suits me, but I like roles that have a cool feeling like Jean-Paul. I want to play a heinous character who’s evil doesn’t sink in until the end. In “Elisabeth” even though it’s a onnayaku; Windisch (a mental patient) would be good. I don’t want to play ordinary parts, but ones that have a mysterious feel.”

Geez...I keep posting translations in the morning...yet i never actually work on these in the morning (well this I typed this morning but that's not work...)
*EDIT* See she totally resembles Wataru

I don’t really take long baths.
Average time you sleep?
-	7 hours.
Speed you talk at?
-	I think normal.
After you get into bed, how long does it take for you to fall asleep?
-	I don’t fall asleep easy so I think I’m awake for about 30 minutes.
When your alarm goes off, how long does it take you to get up?
-	Within 10 minutes.
From when you wake up, how long does it take you to leave?
-	An hour and a half.
What’s your favorite time of the day?
-	When I come home roll onto the sofa and sit.
How long will you wait for someone?
-	It depends on the place. If I was in a coffee shop I think I could wait as long as it takes, If I was standing I’d go into a store (laughs).
What’s your favorite kind of watch?
-	I like a watch with a nice tight feel to it.
If there were 26 hours in a day, what would you do with the extra 2 hours?
-	I’d have time to send mail; I’d probably have more friends (laughs).
Finally finished the script...it has it's flaws, but yeah it's finished. I skipped a few stage note things near the end because I hate translating those..

Prologue:
Kiriya: Hello!
Hokushou: Hello!
Kiriya: Hello, hello, hello
Hokushou: Lined up like this we look like a comedy duo
Kiriya: No. Well, now we’ll go back to ancient Rome. If we talk about ancient Rome, of course we have to talk about Julius Caesar.
Hokushou: Is Caesar really that great of a person?
Kiriya: He’s great, he’s great. He’s strong, he’s strong. He won in battle but his comrades defeated him. He forgave his killers and everyone else. More important then his name he told the truth.
Hokushou: Told the truth?
Kiriya: For example this (makes circle with fore finger and thumb)
Hokushou: Ok?
Kiriya: Cash! Money! That part doesn’t concern you Octavian.
Hokushou: Waaa. A living play? Who does that make you?
Kiriya: I’m Caesar’s second in command Antonius. Later I become the Queen of Egypt; Cleopatra’s husband.
Hokushou: Wait a minute that’s a really good part.
Kiriya: That’s ok. In the end I’m beaten by you and commit suicide.
Hokushou: Is that so?
Kiriya: That’s right, in history there are no good or bad roles. Are you ready (music count) 1,2,3,4!

Scene 1:
[War is a production]
Roman Citizens: Caesar is great
Caesar is great
Caesar is great
Caesar is great
Great
Caesar: Caesar is Caesar!
I came, I saw, I conquered.
I went to Gaul.
I went to Greece.
I came, I saw, I conquered.
I went to Egypt.
I went to Spain.
Aa that time was romantic.
War is my production.
With sword and spear
I carve out the world.
Blood and sweat scatter.
I’ll make a new Rome.

Roman Citizens: War is your production.
With sword and spear
You carve out the world.
Blood and sweat scatter.
You’ll make us a new Rome.
Caesar is great
Caesar is great
Caesar is great
Caesar is great
Caesar is great

Roman Citizens: Caesar is great
Caesar is great
Antonius: The great Caesar is King!

Octavian: Rome expelled monarchism and had a history of republicanism. Only hearing “king” made the citizens of Rome freeze.

[Brutus’ Blues]
Brutus: King, King
Oo Caesar
Is that what you want to become?
The crown, the crown
Oo Caesar
Is that what you really want?
You’ve longed for it.
There were times when I hated you
But I’ve always respected you
Oo Caesar
That is you.
Caesar: (shouting) Brutus. Do you think that’s what I really want?
[All Men Want to be King]
Caesar: Caesar is Caesar!
Brutus: Lies!

Scene 2:
Brutus: All men want to be king.
All men want to be king
Inside of their house and outside of their house
Where ever there are people
They all want to be obeyed
All men want to be king

Brutus: All men want to be king
All men want to be king
If it can be done, if it can be fulfilled.
Whether you know it or not
They all want to be obeyed
All men want to be king

Brutus: Acknowledge your faults! Don’t lie!

Brutus: At least don’t lie
All men want to be king
All men want to be king
Winning in battle,
Your enemy kneeling
Before your feet submitting to you
All men want to be king

Scene 3:
[All Men Want to be King (bridge)]
Cassius appears. Roman citizens watch.

Cassius: My friend, Brutus.
Brutus: It’s Cassius.
Cassius: Did you see, Caesar in the coliseum? Just now he reached with his hand for the crown.
Brutus: I didn’t see.
Cassius: That’s your problem.
Brutus: What?
Cassius: You can’t see what’s happening. If you close your eyes the bad disappears. Caesar disappears, the crown disappears, and Rome…
Brutus: Aa, Rome…!
Cassius: I’m no ordinary friend. I married your sister, we’re brothers. Listen to your brother. Will Rome disappear, or will Caesar?
Brutus: I love Rome!

[Open Your Eyes]

Cassius: If only you'd open your eyes. You'd understand. Once you become aware of the corruption, Brutus you can't overlook that.

Cassius: Open your eyes
Take a stand
Before it all becomes too late
Open your eyes
Stand up
Before Rome falls into someone's hands
Before Rome conquers the world
The man who tries to conquer Rome is
The name of that man is
Brutus: The name of that man is
Cassius: You know who it is

Brutus: Ligarius
Ligarius: (violent cough)
Brutus: Are you okay?
Ligarius: I have a fever. Caesar always returns triumphant. Rome will die and I will die with Rome.
Ligarius: Open your eyes
Fight
Before my illness beats me

Ligarius: Brutus. My life is at your command
Brutus: My command
Ligarius: If you wake up and fight, my illness would soon be cured.
Cassius: We're not the only people against Caesar. The soldiers who fought with Caesar are starting to feel the danger.

Trebonius: Open your eyes (accent)
Albinus: Open your eyes (accent)
The Two: For our Rome we fought, we never fought to make Caesar king

Roman Citizens: Look out
Assassins: Open your eyes
Roman Citizens: You'll overlook it
Assassins: Don't overlook it
Assassins: Before it all becomes too late
Roman Citizens: Look out
Assassins: Open your eyes
Roman Citizens: It’s already too late
Assassins: It’s not too late
Assassins: Before Rome falls into his hands
Everyone: Before Rome conquers the world
The man who tries to conquer Rome is
That man's name is
Brutus: That man's name is
Everyone: Caesar!
Brutus: That man now
Everyone: That man now
Brutus: Is there no choice but to assassinate him?

Porcia: Darling!
Cassius: We’ll be waiting for you at my house. Until you come we’ll be waiting, as long as it takes.
Porcia: Darling
Brutus: Porcia. Why are you here?
Porcia: I came out to meet you. Did Caesar take the crown?
Porcia: I won’t ask anything. You know who my father is.
Brutus: You are the great and free Cato’s daughter.
Porcia: Great? Free?
Brutus: Cato was a man full of pride. Until the very end he opposed Caesar, he would not beg for forgiveness and committed suicide.
Porcia: Full of pride? No, get rid of that idea. He was lonely. He always had such a painful expression. A lot like how you are now.
Brutus: Porcia
[I’ll Ask Nothing]
Porcia: Before Caesar’s attack, father sent our family to the enemy camp; we were saved so one could die.

Porcia: N-O-W
I won’t ask anything
Like where you’re going
I won’t ask anything
Like when you’ll return
Just don’t forget this one thing
You’re not alone, because I will always be by you side
Y-O-U
Don’t have to stop
From going
You don’t have to stop
No matter what
Just don’t forget this one thing
You have a place to return to
I will always be by your side
Brutus: Don’t forget
Porcia: Don’t forget
Together: The two of us are bound, where ever you go, no matter what we’ll be together.

Servillia: Aaaa no, no! What’s this, a man who only knows his wife! On top of that it’s my own son!
[If You’re a Man]

Servillia: If you’re a man, if you’re a man why can’t you seduce ten or twenty women?
Brutus: Mom
Servillia: What is this lovey dove couple doing? Do it in the house! Do it in the middle of night!
Porcia: Mother
Servillia: Go home. Did you clean? Did you make dinner? If your husband hasn’t returned, do you go to bed alone?
Servillia: A wife is a wife
A woman is a woman
A completely different thing
A wife takes great care
A woman is for seducing
That’s a man’s way of life

Servillia: Brutus. Do you hate Caesar?
Brutus: I don’t hate him. I respect him.
Servillia: Respect. That word isn’t enough. Once you sided with Caesar’s enemy Pompeius, and failed. At that time, why do you think you were left alive? I Servillia, Caesar’s lover saved you.

Brutus: His lover, aren’t you embarrassed?
Servillia: I think there’s pride in being a hero’s mistress. I’m not the only one who believes there’s pride.
Mistresses: If you’re a man,
If you’re a man
Why can’t you seduce ten or twenty women?
A wife is a wife.
A woman is a woman.
After all it is a different thing.
That is a wife,
A woman is a woman
We love a strong man
We love a strong Caesar!

Caesar: Brutus. I wanted to see you.
Servillia: my son is more important than your lovers?
Caesar: Right now your existence is not amusing. But this boy has a future. I’m always fascinated by the future. Ok, Brutus?

Caesar: In order to win you must continue to give love, money, and power. In order to win you must continue to forgive; even tomorrow’s enemies. Given often, and always forgive. Your future will be big.
Lovers: You’ll be big, you’ll be important
You’ll be big, you’ll be important
Brutus: Caesar, there’s something I want to ask you.
Caesar: What is it?
Brutus: Are you king?
Caesar: No, I’m not king. Caesar is Caesar!
Caesar: Put your worries aside. Continue to run forward, towards tomorrow, to the future.
Brutus: Caesar isn’t king
Caesar: If you have worries, throw them all away.
Think about now, and the past.

Brutus: Caesar is Caesar.
Caesar: Throw away your worries. If you start to run, who can go farther than you.
Lovers: You’ll be big, you’ll be important
You’ll be big, you’ll be important
You’ll be big, you’ll be important
You’ll be big, you’ll be important
Servillia: Well, Caesar. Who will you choose today?
Caesar: I have a previous engagement. Someone from Egypt.
Servillia: From Egypt?
Caesar: She’s still only 20.
Carmian: Clear the way.
Iras: Clear the way.
The two: The dignified woman that you are in the presence of,
Her name is
Her name is
Cleopatra: My love!
Caesar: It’s been a long time Cleopatra.
Girls: Cleopatra!
Servillia: Cleopatra, isn’t she the queen of Egypt? Isn’t your country untouched?
Cleopatra: Now Egypt’s futures is with Caesar. Egypt and I will follow Caesar.
Servillia: I give up (to the mistresses) let’s go. (to Brutus) You come too.
Caesar: No, you stay here.
::women leave::
Cleopatra: (looking at Brutus) Who is this?
Caesar: Brutus. He’s a young man with a promising future.
Cleopatra: I have no interest in the future. (To Caesar) I have a gift for you.

Cleopatra: I bring you woman’s gift
Love’s reward
What better to give than

The 2: Ha aa
Ha aa
The 3: Joyful, joyful
It certainly is, it certainly is
Joyful

Cleopatra: I give to you
The 2: Ha aa
Cleopatra: I bring you woman’s gift
Love’s reward

The 2: Ha aa
Ha aa
Number one
The 3: Joyful, joyful
You should be so happy you could die.
Cleopatra: From woman
The 3: A gift
Cleopatra: Are you happy? He’s your son.
Caesar: My son?
Cleopatra: That’s right, he was born in Egypt.

Caesar: My son will succeed the name of Caesar and rule Rome.
Brutus: What did you say!
[Caesar’s Son (War is a production)]
Women of Egypt: Caesar is great
His son is great
Cleopatra: Ha haan
My son will rule Rome!
Caesar: I need to talk to Brutus.
Cleopatra: Hurry and come to me. The world’s queen will be waiting for the world’s king.
Caesar: People only see the reality that they want, they don’t see reality.
Brutus: Your son will rule Rome?
Caesar: That’s right. However Cleopatra’s son is not “Caesar’s” son. The king of Egypt will not rule Rome.
Brutus: Will you rule Rome?
Caesar: With my bare hands I will rule.
Brutus: Then you are king.
Caesar: I am not king. I am Caesar. And I will rule this Rome.
Brutus: What will become of Republic? Monarchism fell; everyone has built the ideals of Rome
Caesar: Times change. Rome changes too. Ideals will change as well. Rome has acquired a vast amount of land, now leadership is necessary.

[Rome is a Production]
Caesar: Brutus. Deciding by majority does not make a good country.

Caesar: Rome is my production
With sword and spear
I alone carve the world
Only I
Can see the dream
I’ll give you a rich Rome
Caesar belongs to Rome
Rome belongs to Caesar
Caesar: If it’s you, then you have an opinion. I have only one wish. I just don’t want to be misunderstood.
:: Caesar leaves::
Brutus: Caesar is not king, though he rules Rome. Isn’t this strange talk? It’s as if this Rome becomes Caesar’s alone…In my head I understand that.
[I love you]
Brutus: I love Rome. However I still love Caesar’s brilliance.
Brutus: I love you
I love you
What would I do without you?
Brutus: But which? Rome? Caesar? I myself no longer know.
Brutus: Aaaa!

Scene 4

Straton: Welcome home master.
Porcia: Welcome home.
Brutus: You’re still awake. Your body is weak. You should hurry and go to sleep.
Porcia: I have enough strength to wait for the one I love.
Brutus: Love…
Porcia: What’s wrong, why such a sad face?
Brutus: Right now I don’t know who loves me, or if I am capable of loving.
Porcia: Even me?
Brutus: Please, I just want to be left alone.
Porcia: (smiling) Than I’m your servant? Or maybe I’m a slave you bought?
Brutus: I didn’t say that
Porcia: I eat with you, we sleep together, and we are sometimes companions. Is that all I am?
Brutus: You are my wife.
Porcia: That’s right. I’m not your servant, slave, or lover. I am your wife.

[About Love]
Porcia: So I want to know my husband. Especially lately you cast your eyes down when talking about love.
Porcia: Who am I? What do I know I love? I love you, that is me.
Porcia: What do you love?
Brutus: You.
Porcia: What else?
Brutus: Rome.
Porcia: Who are you? What do you know you love?
Brutus: I love you and Rome.
Porcia: That is you.

Brutus: But I also love Caesar’s brilliance.
Porcia: Liar!
Brutus: Lie? When did I lie?
Porcia: If you really love him you should be able to tell him if he does something you don’t like.
Brutus: Give my opinion to Caesar? That’s ridiculous, he won’t listen to me.
Porcia: You won’t say anything? Then you’re afraid of Caesar.
Brutus: It’s not like that.
Porcia: You don’t love him, you fear him.
Brutus: That’s not true.
Porcia: You’re afraid.
Brutus: You’re wrong!

[All Men Want to be King]
Porcia: Aren’t you the same as Caesar?
Porcia: All men want to be king
All men want to be king
Men and women
If people are there everyone
Wants to be obeyed
All me want to be king
Brutus: Porcia.
Porcia: Are you like that too?
Brutus: I don’t want to be king…! I’m sorry.
Porcia: You don’t have to apologize. Please, tell me, who are you? Who do you love?

Brutus: Look straight out the window. What can you see?
[Rome is Everyone’s]
Porcia: Ordinary moonlight shining down on Rome.
Brutus: …One light went out.
Porcia: They must have went to sleep.
Brutus: That’s right. If we miss this chance Caesar will go on a crusade to Parthia. After a victory in Parthia if Caesar returns triumphantly, no one will be able to overthrow the throne.
Achela: We’ll only kill Caesar?
Brutus: of course, that’s what we’ll do.
Cassius: Wait. What will we do about Antonius? Should we let Caesar’s general live?
Brutus: Antonius isn’t a king. So we won’t kill him.
Cassius: But…
Brutus: We’re not murderers.
Trebonius: We’ll let Antonius off. I am your wife; I know one day you will come back to me. But today is different. I have a bad feeling. Look, look at this weather.
Caesar: Spring’s weather changes easily. I can’t.
Kimbel: How about trading my life for it?
Caesar: A life won’t change the law.
Kimbel: You are Rome’s law. I throw my body before the law.
Caesar: Importunate!
Kimbel: Anyone! Please forgive him.
Caesar: It wasn’t ill will huh? Everything starts with good intentions, but in the end the results are bad.
Brutus: So that’s your answer?
Caesar: Yes.
Brutus: Talking is useless?
Caesar: Regarding that, its useless.
Trebonius: Caesar!
Caesar: What?
Gaius Casca: This is my answer!
[Caesar’s Assassination (War is a Production)]
::Gaius Casca stabs Caesar with a knife. I knew I should have stopped.
Citizen 8: Why!
Citizen 9: let us hear Caesar’s will!
[Because We’re Human]
Antonius: How much did Caesar love you,
It’s probably better not to know.
Because we’re human
Anger, sorrow, and grieve
Are left behind by few people
It’s better to know a great man’s
Wish

Roman Citizens: Please, the will!
How much did Caesar love us
We absolutely want you to tell us
Antonius: Can you forgive him? Are you willing to read it? Then look at this!

Antonius: It’s Caesar’s blood. This life cried red tears. Caesar, are you listening? Let them know your will. (Opens the will) Octavian will succeed Caesar’s name. (opens the will) After that its written that…
[Will]
Antonius: No, I can’t read it. If you know what is written, red tears will flow from the citizens.
Roman Citizens: Please, the will!
Antonius: You really want to know? Then I will read what’s written. All Roman citizens will receive a fortune of 75 drachmas!

Antonius: To all Roman citizens
Roman Citizens: To all Roman citizens
Antonius: Caesar gave his fortune
Antonius: All Roman citizens
Roman Citizens: All Roman citizens
Antonius: Caesar thought of you as his children
Antonius: Caesar is
Roman Citizens: Caesar is
Antonius: Rome’s father!
Roman Citizens: Rome’s father
Antonius: We are
Roman Citizens: We are
Antonius: Caesar’s children
Roman Citizens: Caesar’s children
Antonius: Our father was killed by
::Roman citizens point at Brutus and co::
Roman Citizens: Brutus!
Take revenge, take revenge
Rome’s father was killed
Take revenge, take revenge
Our father was killed
Antonius: The killer is
Roman Citizens: Brutus!

Antonius: Fuuu. It’s over.
::Octavian comes out::
Octavian: Antonius.
Antonius: Octavian, you arrived quickly. From Greece right?
Octavian: Where’s Caesar? Where’s my father?
Antonius: He’s dead, he was killed. (Hands over the toga) Here are his belongings, and here’s his will. You’re no longer Caesar’s nephew, you’ve become his son.
Octavian: His son
Antonius: You won’t rule Rome alone. We’ll split it. I will Rule a third, you will rule a third and what is left will be Lepidus’.
Cleopatra: Where’s Caesar’s will?
Antonius: Well, well its Egypt’s queen.
Cleopatra: what will become of my son?
Antonius: Your son? Aa the will makes no mention of him.
Cleopatra: Nothing
Antonius: Eh, I’m afraid nothing.
Carmian: Lady Cleopatra
Iras: What will we do now?
::The baby that the Egyptian dancer is holding cries:::
Egyptian Dancer: (also ready to cry) Aaaa please, don’t cry.
Cleopatra: We’ll return to Egypt
Antonius: Wait
Cleopatra: Why have you called me to stop? I am…(sobs)
Antonius: Aaa look, don’t cry. I’m Antonius, and from now on I will rule Rome.
Cleopatra: Eh?
Antonius: (To Octavian) Give me Egypt. That’s ok right? (To Cleopatra) I’ll visit Egypt soon
Cleopatra: You won’t necessarily always be welcomed.
Antonius: Then I won’t necessarily be treated coldly.
Cleopatra: I’ll think about it. (As she leaves) Let’s meet in Egypt. ::Cleopatra and co leave::
Antonius: If she wasn’t that stubborn, seducing her wouldn’t be interesting. (To Octavian) You’re still young, leave everything to me. ::Antonius leaves::
[Octavian (Rome Belongs to Everyone)]
Octavian: Father made me his son. You’ve killed Caesar haven’t you?
::no one answers::
Servillia: It’s appalling. I can’t agree with this. (Turning towards Brutus) Before you assassinate someone think of how the mother who gave birth to you worries. Everything is Porcia’s fault.
Brutus: (Surprised) Porcia’s fault?
Servillia: That’s Cato’s daughter. He hated Caesar.
Brutus: You’re wrong. Porcia loves me.
Servillia: You were put up to it
Brutus: No, it was my conviction
Servillia: Conviction? And this was the result of it?
Brutus: The result doesn’t matter. This is how I live my life.
Servillia: You’re no longer my son!
::Servillia runs off::
Ligarius: Brutus, what are we going to do know (Coughs)?
Brutus: The assassination was a success. Caesar is no more.
Achela: (in a crying voice) But, what will we do!
Albinus: Antonius will attack
Brutus: We’ll escape Rome. If Antonius attacks, we will fight
Ruburius: If we fight, will we win?
Trebonius: That’s why at that time we should have killed Antonius.
Cassius: Stop!

[Everyone Wants to Forget (If I can’t be king)]
Assassins: For what purpose
Did we kill Caesar?
Not one thing was changed
Not one thing was gained
::Assassins leave. Music stops::
Cassius: Cowards. That’s not living.
Brutus: Cassius, what will you do?
Cassius: Fight. I am your friend, we’re brothers.
Brutus: Thank you.
Cassius: Don’t thank me. That just makes it harder.
Brutus: Harder?
Cassius: I used you. Brutus, you’re popular and have a reputation. I don’t have that. That’s why you were necessary for us to assassinate Caesar.
Brutus: Cassius.
Cassius: But after we assassinated Caesar, you gave the speech. For that I am thankful. Before thinking of yourself you’re the kind of guy to think of everyone.

[Cassius’ Opinion (Rome is Everyone’s)]
Cassius: What’s with Antonius and that absurd speech? He gave tears but not a single ideal. And in the end he spoke of money. Why did it have to be Caesar’s fortune? Who wouldn’t side with him?
::Cassius talks on and on. There’s no man who was loved more than me. Caesar loved me; he said so at the end. He said it was fine. He felt he could only die by my sword. He thought it was okay. My wife Porcia loved me. Kiriya: I said I lose, but I never said you killed me! Don’t change history! Hokushou: (reflecting) Okaaaaay Kiriya: And so Rome’s monarchal period began. Soon after you became emperor, and as emperor you chiefly ruled over Rome. Hokushou: In other word’s Caesar’s wish was carried out, and Brutus’ group’s assassination had no meaning. Kiriya: Don’t say it like that. There are people who think Caesar was a hero and praise him. As for Brutus some think he evaluated the democratic doctrine. There’s no conclusion. Hokushou: But it’s sad isn’t it? They both died. I’d really like to see them again. Kiriya: Yeah it really is sad. Kiriya: Huh? Just now didn’t you say you’d like to see the two of them again? Hokushou: Eh, can I!? Kiriya: Yes, it’s our job to grant wishes.

Happy March 15 everyone...not that it's actually a happy day...yeeeah not so much. Any point of the entry is since it's March 15 I figure why not post some Akatsuki no roma translation. So basically what I'm gonna do is post everything I have so far. This means that this is still missing lots and lots of stuff. It's fairly complete but it's still missing so bits and then sometimes a full page is missing...I think you'll be able to tell since I assume whoever reads this has seen the show. Still need to clean this up a lot and such but yeah why not share as I go through the whole process of making this. You know I like how about 14 pages of Japanese text has turned into like 21 translated. Yeah that's right, I have 21 pages of this sucker. Note that * mean the line isn't finished or there's something that bothers me. I did not write a spot for everything I skipped...it's really rather messy I guess.

Kiriyan: Cash! Money! That part doesn’t concern you Octavian.
Hokushou: Waaa. A living play? Who does that make you?
Kiriya: I’m Caesar’s second in command Antonius. Later I become the Queen of Egypt; Cleopatra’s husband.
Hokushou: Wait a minute that’s a really good part.
Kiriya: That’s ok. In the end I’m beaten by you and commit suicide.
Hokushou: Is that so?
Kiriya: That’s right, in history there are no good or bad roles. Are you ready (music count) 1,2,3,4!

Scene 1:
[War is a production]
Roman Citizens: Caesar is great
Caesar is great
Caesar is great
Caesar is great
Great
Caesar: Caesar is Caesar!
I came, I saw, I conquered.
I went to Gaul.
I went to Greece.
I came, I saw, I conquered.
I went to Egypt.
I went to Spain.
Aa that time was romantic.
War is my production.
With sword and spear
I carve out the world.
Blood and sweat scatter.
I’ll make a new Rome.

Roman Citizens: War is your production.
With sword and spear
You carve out the world.
Blood and sweat scatter.
You’ll make us a new Rome.
Caesar is great
Caesar is great
Caesar is great
Caesar is great
Caesar is great

Roman Citizens: Caesar is great
Caesar is great
Antonius: The great Caesar is King!

Octavian: Rome expelled monarchism and had a history of republicanism. Only hearing “king” made the citizens of Rome freeze.

[Brutus’ Blues]
Brutus: King, King
Oo Caesar
Is that what you want to become?
The crown, the crown
Oo Caesar
Is that what you really want?
You’ve longed for it.
There were times when I hated you
But I’ve always respected you
Oo Caesar
That is you.
Caesar: (shouting) Brutus. Do you think that’s what I really want?
[All Men Want to be King]
Caesar: Caesar is Caesar!
Brutus: Lies!

Scene 2:
Brutus: All men want to be king.
All men want to be king
Inside of their house and outside of their house
Where ever there are people
They all want to be obeyed
All men want to be king

Brutus: All men want to be king
All men want to be king
If it can be done, if it can be fulfilled.
Whether you know it or not
They all want to be obeyed
All men want to be king

Brutus: Acknowledge your faults! Don’t lie!

Brutus: At least don’t lie
All men want to be king
All men want to be king
Winning in battle,
Your enemy kneeling
Before your feet submitting to you
All men want to be king

Scene 3:
[All Men Want to be King (bridge)]
Cassius appears. Roman citizens watch.

Cassius: My friend, Brutus.
Brutus: It’s Cassius.
Cassius: Did you see, Caesar in the coliseum? Just now he reached with his hand for the crown.
Brutus: I didn’t see.
Cassius: That’s your problem.
Brutus: What?
Cassius: You can’t see what’s happening. If you close your eyes the bad disappears. Caesar disappears, the crown disappears, and Rome…
Brutus: Aa, Rome…!
Cassius: I’m no ordinary friend. I married your sister, we’re brothers. Listen to your brother. Will Rome disappear, or will Caesar?
Brutus: I love Rome

[Open Your Eyes]

Cassius: If only you'd open your eyes. You'd understand. Once you become aware of the corruption, Brutus you can't overlook that.

Cassius: Open your eyes
Take a stand
Before it all becomes too late
Open your eyes
Stand up
Before Rome falls into someone's hands
Before Rome conquers the world
The man who tries to conquer Rome is
The name of that man is
Brutus: The name of that man is
Cassius: You know who it is

Brutus: Ligarius
Ligarius: (violent cough)
Brutus: Are you okay?
Ligarius: I have a fever. Caesar always returns triumphant. Rome will die and I will die with Rome.
Ligarius: Open your eyes
Fight
Before my illness beats me

Ligarius: Brutus. My life is at your command
Brutus: My command
Ligarius: If you wake up and fight, my illness would soon be cured.
Cassius: We're not the only people against Caesar. The soldiers who fought with Caesar are starting to feel the danger.

Trebonius: Open your eyes (accent)
Albinus: Open your eyes (accent)
The Two: For our Rome we fought, we never fought to make Caesar king

Roman Citizens: Look out
Assassins: Open your eyes
Roman Citizens: You'll overlook it
Assassins: Don't overlook it
Assassins: Before it all becomes too late
Roman Citizens: Look out
Assassins: Open your eyes
Roman Citizens: It’s already too late
Assassins: It’s not too late
Assassins: Before Rome falls into his hands
Everyone: Before Rome conquers the world
The man who tries to conquer Rome is
That man's name is
Brutus: That man's name is
Everyone: Caesar!
Brutus: That man now
Everyone: That man now
Brutus: Is there no choice but to assassinate him?

Porcia: Darling!
Cassius: We’ll be waiting for you at my house. Until you come we’ll be waiting, as long as it takes.
Porcia: Darling
Brutus: Porcia. Why are you here?
Porcia: I came out to meet you. Did Caesar take the crown?
Porcia: I won’t ask anything. You know who my father is.
Brutus: You are the great and free Cato’s daughter.
Porcia: Great? Free?
Brutus: Cato was a man full of pride. Until the very end he opposed Caesar, he would not beg for forgiveness and committed suicide.
Porcia: Full of pride? No, get rid of that idea. He was lonely. He always had such a painful expression. A lot like how you are now.
Brutus: Porcia
[I’ll Ask Nothing]
Porcia: Before Caesar’s attack, father sent our family to the enemy camp; we were saved so one could die.

Porcia: N-O-W
I won’t ask anything
Like where you’re going
I won’t ask anything
Like when you’ll return
Just don’t forget this one thing
You’re not alone, because I will always be by you side
Y-O-U
Don’t have to stop
From going
You don’t have to stop
No matter what
Just don’t forget this one thing
You have a place to return to
I will always be by your side
Brutus: Don’t forget
Porcia: Don’t forget
Together: The two of us are bound, where ever you go, no matter what we’ll be together.

Servillia: Aaaa no, no! What’s this, a man who only knows his wife! On top of that it’s my own son!
[If You’re a Man]

Servillia: If you’re a man, if you’re a man why can’t you seduce ten or twenty women?
Brutus: Mom
Servillia: What is this lovey dove couple doing? Do it in the house! Do it in the middle of night!
Porcia: Mother
Servillia: Go home. Did you clean? Did you make dinner? If your husband hasn’t returned, do you go to bed alone?
Servillia: A wife is a wife
A woman is a woman
A completely different thing
A wife takes great care
A woman is for seducing
That’s a man’s way of life

Servillia: Brutus. Do you hate Caesar?
Brutus: I don’t hate him. I respect him.
Servillia: Respect. That word isn’t enough. Once you sided with Caesar’s enemy Pompeius, and failed. At that time, why do you think you were left alive? I Servillia, Caesar’s lover saved you.

Brutus: His lover, aren’t you embarrassed?
Servillia: I think there’s pride in being a hero’s mistress. I’m not the only one who believes there’s pride.
Mistresses: If you’re a man,
If you’re a man
Why can’t you seduce ten or twenty women?
A wife is a wife.
A woman is a woman.
After all it is a different thing.
That is a wife,
A woman is a woman
We love a strong man
We love a strong Caesar!

Caesar: Brutus. I wanted to see you.
Servillia: my son is more important than your lovers?
Caesar: Right now your existence is not amusing. But this boy has a future. I’m always fascinated by the future. Ok, Brutus?

Caesar: In order to win you must continue to give love, money, and power. In order to win you must continue to forgive; even tomorrow’s enemies. Given often, and always forgive. Your future will be big.
Lovers: You’ll be big, you’ll be important
You’ll be big, you’ll be important
Brutus: Caesar, there’s something I want to ask you.
Caesar: What is it?
Brutus: Are you king?
Caesar: No, I’m not king. Caesar is Caesar!
Caesar: Put your worries aside. Continue to run forward, towards tomorrow, to the future.
Brutus: Caesar isn’t king
Caesar: If you have worries, throw them all away.
Think about now, and the past.

Brutus: Caesar is Caesar.
Caesar: Throw away your worries. If you start to run, who can go farther than you.
Lovers: You’ll be big, you’ll be important
You’ll be big, you’ll be important
You’ll be big, you’ll be important
You’ll be big, you’ll be important
Servillia: Well, Caesar. Who will you choose today?
Caesar: I have a previous engagement. Someone from Egypt.
Servillia: From Egypt?
Caesar: She’s still only 20.
Camean: Clear the way.
Aiarasu: Clear the way.
*Cleopatra: Now Egypt’s futures is with Caesar.

Servillia: I give up (to the mistresses) let’s go. (to Brutus) You come too.
Caesar: No, you stay here.
::women leave::
Cleopatra: (looking at Brutus) Who is this?
Caesar: Brutus. He’s a young man with a promising future.
Cleopatra: I have no interest in the future. (To Caesar) I have a gift for you.

Cleopatra: I bring you woman’s gift
Love’s reward
What better to give than

The 2: Ha aa
Ha aa
The 3: Joyful, joyful
It certainly is, it certainly is
Joyful

Cleopatra: I give to you
The 2: Ha aa
Cleopatra: I bring you woman’s gift
Love’s reward

The 2: Ha aa
Ha aa
Number one
The 3: Joyful, joyful
You should be so happy you could die.
Cleopatra: From woman
The 3: A gift
Cleopatra: Are you happy? He’s your son.
Caesar: My son?
Cleopatra: That’s right

Caesar: My son will succeed the name of Caesar and rule Rome.
Brutus: What did you say!
[Caesar’s Son (War is a production)]
Women of Egypt: Caesar is great
His son is great
Cleopatra: Ha haan
My son will rule Rome!
Caesar: I need to talk to Brutus.
Cleopatra: Hurry and come to me. The world’s queen will be waiting for the world’s king.
Caesar: People only see the reality that they want, they don’t see reality.
Brutus: Your son will rule Rome?
Caesar: That’s right. However Cleopatra’s son is not “Caesar’s” son. The king of Egypt will not rule Rome.
Brutus: Will you rule Rome?
Caesar: With my bare hands I will rule.
Brutus: Then you are king.
Caesar: I am not king. I am Caesar. And I will rule this Rome.
Brutus: What will become of Republic? Monarchism fell; everyone has built the ideals of Rome
Caesar: Times change. Rome changes too. Ideals will change as well. Rome has acquired a vast amount of land, now leadership is necessary.

[Rome is a Production]
Caesar: Brutus. Deciding by majority does not make a good country.

Caesar: Rome is my production
With sword and spear
I alone carve the world
Only I
Can see the dream
I’ll give you a rich Rome
Caesar belongs to Rome
Rome belongs to Caesar
Caesar: If it’s you, then you have an opinion. I have only one wish. I just don’t want to be misunderstood.
:: Caesar leaves::

Scene 4

Starton: Welcome home master.

*Porcia:
Brutus: Give my opinion to Caesar? That’s ridiculous, he won’t listen to me.
Porcia: You won’t say anything? Then you’re afraid of Caesar.
Brutus: It’s not like that.
Porcia: You don’t love him, you fear him.
Brutus: That’s not true.
Porcia: You’re afraid.
Brutus: You’re wrong!

[All Men Want to be King]
Porcia: Aren’t you the same as Caesar?
Porcia: All men want to be king
All men want to be king
Men and women
If people are there everyone
Wants to be obeyed
All me want to be king
Brutus: Porcia.
Porcia: Are you like that too?
Brutus: I don’t want to be king…! I’m sorry.
Porcia: You don’t have to apologize. Please, tell me, who are you? Who do you love?

Brutus: Look straight out the window. What can you see?
[Rome is Everyone’s]
Porcia: Ordinary moonlight shining down on Rome.
Brutus: …One light went out
Porica: They must have went to sleep
*Brutus: Yeah

Brutus: Different people
Have different memories
Here they make their livings
Who who
Could rule?
Who who
Thinks Rome is their own
:: Brutus and citizens of Rome sing::
Everyone: Rome belongs to all of us
Rome is everyone’s
Everyone builds
Everyone protects
Everyone: Rome belongs to all of us
Everyone builds
Everyone protects
Rome is everyone’s
Brutus: That is Rome!
Roman Citizens: Aa!

Porcia: Darling
Brutus: I lost sight of myself. I must do what has to be don e. I’m no longer lost.
[I Love You]
::Citizens of Rome dance::
Brutus: I love you, I love
What would I do without you?
As long as I live
I love you, I love you
What would I do without you?
I love you I love you
As long as I live
Scene 5

[If I can’t be king]
Cassius: Soon it will be daybreak
Brutus still hasn’t come, but I know he certainly will come.
Soon it will be daybreak
From somewhere the mummers of the empty thoughts of sleep talk.

Assassins: I want to rule
I want to be king
I want to rule
I want to be king

Ligarius: If I can’t be king, where is the value of living? (coughs).
Achela: I want to make my own country even if it is small (cries).
Ribrius: If I can’t be king, I will kill the king!
Nazo: If I kill the king and sit in the empty throne, I will be king!
Gaius Casca: If I can’t be king, I won’t let anyone else be king!
Publius Cassius: Anyone who has more honor than me
Anyone who has more honor than me
Assassins: I won’t forgive!

[That is man]

Trebonius: I want to live freely
Assassins: I want to live freely
Albinus: I want to drink freely
Assassins: I want to drink freely
Trebonius: I don’t understand difficult things
Assassins: Hai hai hai hai!
Albinus: I don’t understand complex things
Assassins: Hai hai hai hai!
Trebonius:

Men: Hai hai hai hai!
Albinus: I want to kill, I want to break. I just want to do something exciting!
Men: Hai hai hai hai!
Trebonius: That is man
Albinus: That is man
Assassins: That is man’s fun

Assassins: That is man
That is man
That is man’s fun
Elbalbus: I’m king! I am king!
Assassins: I am king!

Cassius: Only sleep talking, this is only horseplay. Really, they call themselves men.
[Tickled With Ambition]
Cassius: All men have ambition. But they hate their weakness of ambition to be seen through. If you want to tame tigers or lions, you have to skillfully tickle them.

*(Make into English that makes sense) Cassius: Tickled with ambition
Lavish praise
Skillful flattery
Desire lights the fire
Tickled with ambition
Only you
If it’s you
That line is thrown out
Dreams and wishes
Your life at stake
It’s all very touching
Tickled with ambition
Who
If praised
That feeling becomes alive
Tickled with ambition

Cassius: Brutus. Hurry and come. To me you are necessary.
Ligarious: (coughs) Where’s Brutus?
Cassius: he still hasn’t come.
Achela: (to the coughing Ligarious) Are you ok?
Ligarious: Don’t touch me!
Ribrious: Will Brutus really come?
Nazo: We can’t assassinate Caesar ourselves.
Publius Casca: If we were to assassinate Caesar him, we would not have the approval of the citizens.
Gaius Casca: If only Brutus would come. I would immediately go kill Caesar
Ligarious: (coughs) Aa, Brutus!
Trebonius: Shut up!
Albinus: Yeah. We can’t only wait
Elbalbus: …I know
Brutus: Cassius
Cassius: Brutus
Brutus: I’ve made you wait
Cassius: Have you made up your mind?
Brutus: I have
Ligarious: Will you do it?
Brutus: Aa. I’ll do it.
Trebonius: You’ll assassinate Caesar?
Brutus: In order to protect Rome’s ideals, we’ll sacrifice anything
Albinus: When will we do it?
Brutus: At March 15th’s assembly meeting. If we miss this chance Caesar will go on a crusade to Parthia. After a victory in Parthia if Caesar returns triumphantly, no one will be able to overthrow the throne.
Akuira: We’ll only kill Caesar?
Brutus: of course, that’s what we’ll do.
Cassius: Wait. What will we do about Antonius? Should we let Caesar’s general live?
Brutus: Antonius isn’t a king. So we won’t kill him.
Cassius: But
Brutus: We’re not murderers
Trebonius: We’ll let Antonius off. When he hears the news that Caesar has been killed he’s the kind of guy to laugh.
::laughter::
Brutus: All for the sake of Rome
Assassins: For Rome
Brutus: It’s already night, I have a previous engagement. Excuse me.
Cassius: Brutus…You have no ambition, again does it come down to ambition?

Scene 6
[March 15 (lightening)]
Caesar’s wife Calpurnia
Calpurnia: Yesterday I saw a dream
My husband covered with blood
Covered in blood, smiling
I asked
Darling what is that blood?
He answered
I “Caesar” won’t die
::Music ends, Fortuneteller comes out::
Fortuneteller: Caesar is in danger.
Calpurnia: You are?
Fortuneteller: I am a fortuneteller. Today is March 15.
Fortuneteller: The blue sky suddenly is cloudy
Rome’s sun then becomes forever dark

The two: Rome’s sun becomes dark
Rome’s sun
Rome’s sun is
Fortuneteller: Caesar!
Everyone: Caesar!
Caesar: Caesar is here

Calpurnia: ( ) Darling
Caesar: Calpurnia. What are you doing here?
Calpurnia: Please, today go home
Caesar: Why?
Calpurnia: Until now I’ve said nothing about where you go. I am your wife; I know one day you will come back to me. But today is different. I have a bad feeling. Look, look at this weather.
Caesar: Spring’s weather changes easily. Every year it is the same.
Calpurnia: No, its different
Caesar: If the weather is now cloudy, soon it will be clear.
:: As Caesar says, the weather gives ::
[March 15 (clear weather)]
Citizen’s of Rome: The blue sky has returned
March 15
Rome’s sun remains unchanged
Rome’s sun
Rome’s sun is
Caesar
Caesar: If you’re held prisoner by feelings, and superstitions you can’t live. (to Calpurnia) The day of the crusade to Parthea is near. Today I will come home.
Calpurnia: Darling
Caesar: Your feeling merely relies on the feeling of another. Tonight I will meet you.
Antonius: Caesar. It’s about that time.
::Calpurnia leaves. Music stops::
Caesar: Fortuneteller. You said March 15th.
Fortuneteller: The 15th is all day, its still not over.
:: Kinbell comes out. He suddenly draws his sword::
Kinbel: Caesar!
::Roman citizens raise their voices, Caesar and Kinbel circle each other::
Caesar: Kinbel. Why is your sword drawn?
::Kindel sets his sword at his feet and kneels::
Kinbel: If you won’t listen to my request, I will kill myself with this sword. Won’t you forgive my brother Pubulius Kinbel who was exiled from Rome?
Caesar: If it is talk about that, it has already been decided. I can’t.
Kinbel: How about trading my life for it?
*Caesar:
Kinbel: You are Rome’s law. I throw my body before the law.
*Caesar: Importunate
Kinbel: Anyone! Is there no one to take my place, and sue the noble Caesar?
:: Brutus and assassins enter::
Brutus: Caesar
Caesar: It’s Brutus
Brutus: How about it, forgive Kinbel.
Caesar: What did you say?
Cassius: (kneeling) I too beg you.

[March 16]
::Roman citizens gather::
Roman Citizens: It wasn’t a dream
Caesar is dead
Brutus killed him
Why
Why
Did he do it

[Brutus’ Address (I love~blues)]
::Brutus and co enter. I don’t have that. That’s why you were necessary for us to assassinate Caesar
Brutus: Cassius
*Cassius: But after we assassinated Caesar, you gave the speech. For that I am thankful. Before thinking of yourself you’re the kind of guy to think of everyone.

[Cassius’ Opinion (Rome is Everyone’s)]
*Cassius: What’s with Antonius and that absurd speech.

*Cassius:

I don’t like it
I’m different
I’ll fight

[Porcia’s Madness]

Brutus: Porcia.
Porcia: Darling you must wash your clothes
Cassius: Laundry?
Porcia: Hurry and change your clothes
If you don’t hurry
Caesar’s blood
Will stain them

*Porcia:

Brutus: Porcia…!
Cassius: she’s gone mad
*Porcia: Forgive me dear
I’m not useful

Brutus: (to his mad wife): The one who wants forgiveness is me. Why does it have to be like this.
[Illusion of Caesar (Because we’re human)]
*voice of Caesar:

Brutus: (Points finer) Caesar!
Cassius: Hey, what’s wrong with you?
Brutus: Over there, it’s Caesar.
Cassius: That’s ridiculous
*Caesar: From all good and bad

The end has been decided
Who did the people
Love more than Caesar
There’s no meaning in that
Because a hero is human

The destruction is near
Straton: Mistress, mistress!
::Porcia collapses::
Porcia: ( ) Darling, I am a weak person

Scene 9 [War is a Production]

Antonius: I came, I saw, I conquered
For Caesar
Like Caesar
I came, I saw, I conquered
In Caesar’s name
Like Caesar
Ah at times it was cruel
War is
Rome’s history
With sword and spear
Time is engraved

Soldiers: For Rome x7
::Antonius returns to the main stage::
Anotnius: A strong Rome is forever!

Cassius: ( ) Brutus
Brutus: Cassius, Cassius! I’m glad I met you.
Cassius: we’ll be able to meet again soon
::Cassius falls::
Brutus: Cassius!
::Straton comes out::
Straton: Master Brutus!
Brutus: Cassius, Cassius!
Straton: Master Cassius passed away, about 20 days ago.
Brutus: eh. ( ) That’s right.
Straton: your enemies are in pursuit of you. Please run away.
Brutus: Run away?

Oh yeah some of the names are messed up right now because I wanted to check the list on wiki for what some names are suppossed to be but yeah lack of time currently.

    <lj:music>間抜けな衛兵隊</lj:music>

Today I had the need to translate some Berubara. I actually can't believe that I never looked up 間抜けbefore...wow. I had a curious moment and looked up the word and it made me want to translate the rest of the song. I knew I liked this song and all of its anger. So I guess this was my break from Roma. I need to type up new parts (and translate skipped parts)...ah the joys of notebook paper. I'm still debating if I dare work on translating Berubara...I'm pretty sure it would make my head explode...

Dumb Soldiers

We’re a bunch of dumb soldiers.
If there’s a war we’re first,
To face the enemy fire.
Even if we serve with distinction, we aren’t rewarded.
If there's trouble we glare.
A sense of duty is too much trouble.
At any rate, we’re a disgrace.
At any rate, we’re second rate.
Aa we’re soldiers.
Aa we’re soldiers.

Manuke na eiheitai

Oretacha manuke na eiheitai
Ikusa ni naraba massaki ni
Teki no houka ni mi o sarasu
Tegara o tatte temo mukuwarezu
Jiken o okoseba niramareru
Giri ka yakkai mote amashi
Douse orera wa tsurayogoshi
Douse orera wa ochikobore
Aa oretacha eiheitai
Aa oretacha eiheitai

Okay! So I figured out the rest of this one song so now I can post the prologue to like part of scene 3. I actually have well past scene 3 translated buuuut I skipped some stuff and need to go back. The scene with Brutus' mom is hard...so yeah when i have time (that's a joke) I'll post the rest of scene 3. I still need to go back and add all of the little stage guide things (you know the stuff where it says someone entered or something). I have some in the translation but I skipped a lot thinking I wouldn't translate them but I've changed my mind. Okay so I'm gonna shut up now and let you read...I still want to re-edit this later. It's like my never ending project.

Kiriyan: Cash! Money! That part doesn’t concern you Octavian.
Hokushou: Waaa. A living play? Who does that make you?
Kiriya: I’m Caesar’s second in command Antonius. Later I become the Queen of Egypt; Cleopatra’s husband.
Hokushou: Wait a minute that’s a really good part.
Kiriya: That’s ok. In the end I’m beaten by you and commit suicide.
Hokushou: Is that so?
Kiriya: That’s right, in history there are no good or bad roles. Are you ready (music count) 1,2,3,4!

Scene 1:
[War is a production]
Roman Citizens: Caesar is great
Caesar is great
Caesar is great
Caesar is great
Great
Caesar: Caesar is Caesar! I came, I saw, I conquered. I went to Gallia. I went to Greece. I came, I saw, I conquered. I went to Egypt. I went to Spain. Aa that time was romantic. War is my production. With sword and spear I carve out the world. Blood and sweat scatter. I’ll make a new Rome.

Roman Citizens: War is your productions. With sword and spear you carve out the world. Blood and sweat scatter. You’ll make us a new Rome.
Caesar is great
Caesar is great
Caesar is great
Caesar is great
Caesar is great

Roman Citizens: Caesar is great
Caesar is great
Antonius: The great Caesar is King!

Octavian: Rome expelled monarchism and had a history of republicanism. Only hearing “king” made the citizens of Rome freeze.

[Brutus’ Blues]
Brutus: King, King
Oo Caesar
Is that what you want to become?
The crown, the crown
Oo Caesar
Is that what you really want?
You’ve longed for it
There was a time when you hated
Always being respected
Oo Caesar
That is you.
Caesar: (shouting) Brutus. Do you think that’s what I really want?
[All Men Want to be King]
Caesar: Caesar is Caesar!
Brutus: Lies!

Scene 2:
Brutus: All men want to be king.
All men want to be king
Inside of their house and outside of their house
Where ever there are people
They all want to be obeyed
All men want to be king

Brutus: All men want to be king
All men want to be king
If it can be done, if it can be fulfilled.
Whether you know it or not
They all want to be obeyed
All men want to be king

Brutus: Acknowledge your faults! Don’t lie!

Brutus: At least don’t lie
All men want to be king
All men want to be king
Winning in battle,
Your enemy kneeling
Before your feet submitting to you
All men want to be king

Scene 3:
[All Men Want to be King (bridge)]
Cassius appears. Roman citizens watch.

Cassius: My friend, Brutus.
Brutus: It’s Cassius.
Cassius: Did you see, Caesar in the coliseum? Just now he reached with his hand for the crown.
Brutus: I didn’t see.
Cassius: That’s your problem.
Brutus: What?
Cassius: You can’t see what’s happening. If you close your eyes the bad disappears. Caesar disappears, the crown disappears, and Rome…
Brutus: Aa, Rome…!
Cassius: I’m no ordinary friend. I married your sister, we’re brothers. Listen to your brother. Will Rome disappear, or will Caesar?
Brutus: I love Rome

[Open Your Eyes]

Cassius: If only you'd open you eyes. You'd understand. Once you become aware of the corruption, Brutus you can't overlook that.

『Cassius: Open your eyes
Take a stand
Before it all becomes too late
Open your eyes
Stand up
Before Rome falls into someone's hands
Before Rome conquers the world
The man who tries to conquer Rome is
The name of that man is
Brutus: The name of that man is
Cassius: You know who it is』

Brutus: Ligarius
Ligarius: (violent cough)
Brutus: Are you okay?
Ligarius: I have a fever. Caesar always returns triumphant. Rome will die and I will die with Rome.
『Ligarius: Open your eyes
Fight
Before my illness beats me』

Ligarius: Brutus. My life is at your command
Brutus: My command
Ligarius: If you wake up and fight, my illness would soon be cured.
Cassius: We're not the only people against Caesar. The soldiers who fought with Caesar are starting to feel the danger.

『Trebonius: Open your eyes (accent)
Albinus: Open your eyes (accent)
The Two: For our Rome we fought, we never fought to make Caesar king

Roman Citizens: Look out
Assassins: Open your eyes
Roman Citizens: You'll overlook it
Assassins: Don't overlook it
Assassins: Before it all becomes too late
Roman Citizens: Look out
Assassins: Open your eyes
Roman Citizens: It’s already too late
Assassins: It’s not too late
Assassins: Before Rome falls into his hands
Everyone: Before Rome conquers the world
The man who tries to conquer Rome is
That man's name is
Brutus: That man's name is
Everyone: Caesar!
Brutus: That man now
Everyone: That man now
Brutus: Is there no choice but to assassinate him? 』

Porcia: I’ve heard nothing. Don’t you know whose daughter I am?
Brutus: You are the great and free カトー's daughter.
Porcia: Great? Free?
Brutus: *カトー was a man full of pride. Until the very end he opposed Caesar, he would not beg for forgiveness and committed suicide.
Porcia: Full of pride? No, get rid of that idea. He was lonely. He always had such a painful expression. A lot like how you are now.
Brutus: Porcia
[You hear nothing]
Porcia: Before Caesar’s attack, father sent our family to the enemy camp; we were saved so one could die.

Porcia: N-O-W you hear nothing. Where ever you go, you hear nothing. When you come back don’t forget this one thing, you’re not alone, I will always be by your side. Y-O-U- don’t stop wherever you go you don’t stop.
Whatever happens don’t forget this one thing, you have a place to return to. I will always be waiting for you.
Brutus: Don’t forget
Porcia: Don’t forget
Together: The two of us are bound, where ever you go, no matter what we’ll be together.

*** So yeah I dunno what カトー translates to...Kato? Curt? Cat? I don't knooooooooow!!! So um yeah.
Also I apologize for any typos that I made...I'm sorry I suck at proof reading really I do.
Wataruuuuu!!!!!!! Don't gooooooo!
In Japan it's already Wataru's last day...that makes me sad. In honor of Wataru and all of her awesomeness I have part of an article that was in Graph. I started working on this back when I was in Japan. I wasn't able to finish it completely because it confused me and frankly still does. There are 5 question and I've only been able to translate the first 3 (though the 4 is about Wataru's love of sushi). I don't have the graph with me to add the title or issue. I'll do that at some point though. I think the article was called "At that time" or something like that. Anyway good luck to Wataru who will forever be the otokoyaku's otokoyaku

What if you could talk to animals?
On my days off I used to walk through the zoo, I would stand in front of the cages, and I would wonder what they were thinking, I wanted to ask. For example I would ask Mr. Giraffe "Why is your neck so long?" (laughs). I really want to talk with the wild animals. Talking would be good, but if they ate you it would be troublesome (laughing). Thinking of everyday life, humans live excessively and are trivial. When you look at "The Lion King" or "Tarzan" or others like that, you enter the animal world that our imaginations created, more so then humans they seem to have bigger things on their minds...so by all means I want to hear them.

A foreigner asked for directions?
When I was in New York I had that experience. At first I thought "What do I do!" coincidentally I had just passed the place they were asking about, I was thinking of gestures I could give them......Seems like I was merciful in New York (laughs). I thought "I wonder, could it be that I look like a New Yorker?" that made me kinda happy (laughs). I think when you go abroad you temporarily gain English power, but when you go back to your country you completely forget everything (laughs). There was a time where I properly wanted to study, but yeeeeeaaaah (laughs).

What if you could time travel?
I'd travel to the future 100 years from now. The world would really look like it just came out of a movie, there would be robot activity, the robots would look just like us and be able to produce anything; I'd really like to see this world with my own eyes. If it was my choice I would naturally like to leave things how they are. So now above all I wish machines wouldn't advance so much. I think there will be a company making can do anything machines. It would be good if it would be helpful to those who have disabilities, but it will probably be for normal people to have fun... There would be something good that people could use with their hands...And then...there's flying cars, but those look dangerous so that wouldn't be good. But there would be the implementation of "Cheerful Space Travel", I think that would be good (laughs).

Silly Wataru :D

So as I sit here half asleep I decided to post more. Posting mainly because the version of the song on the wiki is not complete. I'll type the Japanese and romanized lyrics later.

[If I can’t be king]
Cassius: Soon it will be daybreak
Brutus still hasn’t come, but I know he certainly will come.
Soon it will be daybreak
From somewhere the mummers of the empty thoughts of sleep talk.

Assassins: I want to rule
I want to be king
I want to rule
I want to be king

Ligarius: If I can’t be king, where is the value of living? (coughs).
Achela: I want to make my own country even if it is small (cries).
Ribrius: If I can’t be king, I will kill the king!
Nazo: If I kill the king and sit in the empty throne, I will be king!
Gaius Casca: If I can’t be king, I won’t let anyone else be king!
Publius Cassius: Anyone who has more honor than me
Anyone who has more honor than me
Assassins: I won’t forgive!

[That is man]

Trebonius: I want to live freely
Assassins: I want to live freely
Albinus: I want to drink freely
Assassins: I want to drink freely
Trebonius: I don’t understand difficult things
Assassins: Hai hai hai hai!
Albinus: I don’t understand complex things
Assassins: Hai hai hai hai!*
Trebonius:

Men: Hai hai hai hai!
Albinus: I want to kill, I want to break. I just want to do something exciting!
Men: Hai hai hai hai!
Trebonius: That is man
Albinus: That is man
Assassins: That is man’s fun

Assassins: That is man
That is man
That is man’s fun
Elbalbus: I’m king! I am king!
Assassins: I am king!

*Yeah so this whole hai hai hai hai thing. Well hai is japanese for yes....I don't know if they are saying yes of just saying it. Look at it anyway you want...I think it would be silly to write yes for everything...doesn't work for me.

I feel the need to share....I've been working on translating the script from Akatsuki no Roma, I actually have a nice chunk of it done just not exactly in order. Anyway I just kinda feel like sharing a bit of it. It's fair from perfect and has a few rough spots but I like to think my work is getting better. Anyway this is the Prologue and first scene. If I finish these 2 lines I will have scene 2 (which is just "All men want to be king")done and I have a few other bits also almost done (Like half of scene 3 and I think like scene 5 or 6 I forget off the top of my head). Yeah I know some of the prologue seems odd...I agree but well that's how I understood what they said and it made me go "What does that have to do with that?" so perhaps I'm missing something I dunno.

Kiriyan: Cash! Money! That part doesn’t concern you Octavian.
Hokushou: Waaa. A living play? Who does that make you?
Kiriya: I’m Caesar’s second in command Antonius. Later I become the Queen of Egypt; Cleopatra’s husband.
Hokushou: Wait a minute that’s a really good part.
Kiriya: That’s ok. In the end I’m beaten by you and commit suicide.
Hokushou: Is that so?
Kiriya: That’s right, in history there are no good or bad roles. Are you ready (music count) 1,2,3,4!

Scene 1:
[War is a production]
Roman Citizens: Caesar is great
Caesar is great
Caesar is great
Caesar is great
Great
Caesar: Caesar is Caesar! I came, I saw, I conquered. I went to Gallia. I went to Greece. I came, I saw, I conquered. I went to Egypt. I went to Spain. Aa that time was romantic. War is my production. With sword and spear I carve out the world. Blood and sweat scatter. I’ll make a new Rome.

Roman Citizens: War is your productions. With sword and spear you carve out the world. Blood and sweat scatter. You’ll make us a new Rome.
Caesar is great
Caesar is great
Caesar is great
Caesar is great
Caesar is great

Roman Citizens: Caesar is great
Caesar is great
Antonius: The great Caesar is King!

Octavian: Rome expelled monarchism and had a history of republicanism. Only hearing “king” made the citizens of Rome freeze.

[Brutus’ Blues]
Brutus: King, King
Oo Caesar
Is that what you want to become?
The crown, the crown
Oo Caesar
Is that what you really want?
You’ve longed for it
There was a time when you hated
Always being respected
Oo Caesar
That is you.
Caesar: (shouting) Brutus. Do you think that’s what I really want?
[All Men Want to be King]
Caesar: Caesar is Caesar!
Brutus: Lies!

Oh Brutus and all his angst. You know I got on a rea1ly Caesar kick and am reading the Shakespeare play currently. It makes me happy, really it does. I guess I have issues if I wake up at 8am when class is at 6pm and starting reading ^^;; But really it's great...I had time when I was at the librarry the one day and flipped around and man is the scene with Brutus convincing the people that killing Caesar was good and then Antonius making them want to lynch Brutus. But really it's great.
